Causes of an Enlarged Spleen. An enlarged spleen can be caused by infections, cirrhosis and other liver diseases, blood diseases characterized by abnormal blood cells, problems with the lymph system, or other conditions.

spleen can enlarge after an infection or injury . it can also become enlarge as a result of leukaemia , rheumatiod or cirrhosis and arithritis. an enlarge spleed doesnt cause always symptoms......feeling very full after eating(enlarged spleen can press on stomach)
