Human beings do observe changes in their bodies right from their development from a zygote to a multicellular organism but these changes are not drastic nor do they involve any chemical synthesis during these changes unlike in the case of animals which undergo metamorphosis. Eg. During metamorphosis of tadpole to frog the whole internal as well as external body change is observed. Also iodine is required for chemical synthesis during metamorphosis in the latter tadpole.
