Answer:

1) Evaporate the water, only pollutants will be left, if there are any. (Don't mistake salt for pollutants)

2) Put something clean in water, if we can see it clearly, then the water is pollutants free, if not then it isn't.

3) Put and water in a transparent container and let it sit. After a few hours the process of sedimentation will be completed. If some substances have settled at the bottom then the water is polluted. (It only works with dirt).
