The following reasons have forced a man to revert to rainwater harvesting:

1) Less availability of drinkable or consumable water for daily needs. With the increased population, water consumption is also increasing and this has lead to a reduction in the quantity of water fit to consume.

2) The decrease in the groundwater level is also another main reason. People are misusing water and are wasting it at a fast pace, which has lead to a decrease in the groundwater and now to replenish the groundwater, people are reverting to rainwater harvesting.

3) Saving Water for ourselves and for the future generations is the main reason behind all this water conservation and rainwater harvesting practice.
