just like marine teleost ,terrestrial animal are liable to water loss ,but unlike in fishes where water loss is caused by osmotic removal of water in terrestrial animal ,it is caused by evaporation from permeable surface exposed to the atmosphere. however terrestrial animal strive to over come this problem of water loss by adopting the following methods
1. By having a water proof integument .
2.By reducing the glomerular filtration.
3.By producing a non toxic nitrogenous waste.
4.By reobsorving water.
5.By means of behavior changes and
adoption .
6.By using metabolic water.
