The number of students has increased =(35-25)

                                                                 = 10 students

So, the increased% = (10*100)/25

                                = 10*4

                                = 40%

(Ans): (c) 40%

The percent increase is 40 %

Solution:

Given that,

Enrollment in a photography class increased from 25 to 35 students

The percent increase is given as:

Percent\ increase = \frac{\text{final value - initial value}}{\text{initial value}}

From given,

Initial value = 25

Final value = 35

Therefore,

Percent\ increase = \frac{35-25}{25} \times 100\\\\Percent\ increase = \frac{10}{25} \times 100\\\\Percent\ increase = 10 \times 4\\\\Percent\ increase = 40

Thus percent increase is 40 %
