First take LCM of both the number
LCM is 2
1/2=1/2
1=2/2

We have to find three rational numbers
So,we will multiply and divide by four (number greater than three)

1/2=4/8
2/2=8/8

Therefore,three rational numbers between 1/2 and 1 are 5/8,6/8,7/8, etc.

You may ask what is rational number.

So let us clear it firstly,

 \:\:

࿇ It can be expressed in the form of p/q where \tt q \neq 0

 \:\:

࿇ Its decimal expansion terminates

 \:\:

࿇ Non terminating repeating decimal expansions are also of rational numbers

 \:\:

Firstly we need a same denominator.

Taking LCM = 2

 \:\:

\purple\longrightarrow 1/2 & 2/2

 \underline{\bold{\texttt{Multiplying the above equation by 4}}}

 \:\:

 \sf \longmapsto \dfrac { 4 } { 2 } \& \dfrac { 8 } { 2 }

 \:\:

Hence 3 rational numbers will be :

 \:\:

 \sf \longmapsto \dfrac { 5 } { 2 } , \dfrac { 6 } { 2 } , \dfrac { 7} { 2 }
