Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor are excited to make their big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's romantic film Dhadak. After the fantastic response to the trailer, the makers dropped the recreated version of the immensely popular song 'Zingaat'. Dhadak, which is an official remake of blockbuster Marathi film 'Sairat', has reprised version of hit song 'Zingaat' from the original film.  The song is extremely catchy but, do you know the meaning of Zingaat? Director Shashank Khaitan has the answer!

Shashank Khaitan answered why Zingaat the word and the tune have been retained in the Hindi remake. “The word ‘zingaat’ was never used in popular Marathi literature. It doesn’t even have a defined meaning, it suggests being carefree. The way we have used it, ‘naache zing-zing-zingaat’ would suggest dancing carefree. So I don’t think there should be any problem with it”, the filmmaker was quoted as saying to PTI.

Composers Ajay Atul have recreated the popular Marathi dance number from Sairat by the same name and we definitely can’t get over it. In an interview with a leading daily, Ajay revealed that there are some differences between the Marathi and the Hindi versions. “The beginning chorus in the Marathi song was in English, while in the Hindi version, the chorus is similar to what we hear in Rajasthani songs, ” he said.

‘Dhadak’s ‘Zingaat’ has been choreographed by Farah Khan and Janhvi and Ishaan definitely do justice to the energetic steps. To say that we want to leave everything and dance to the beats of this song won’t be an understatement.
