Answer:
Life in the Neo-Babylonian Empire varied widely depending on a person's status, gender, and location. The dominant religion was the traditional Mesopotamian religion, for which ziggurats had been built over a thousand years earlier. Marduk was the preferred god of Babylon, though other areas had their own favorites.
Hammurabi turned Babylon into a rich, powerful and influential city. He created one of the world's earliest and most complete written legal codes. Known as the Code of Hammurabi, it helped Babylon surpass other cities in the region. Babylonia, however, was short-lived.
The Babylonian Empire, however, rapidly fell apart after the death of Hammurabi and reverted to a small kingdom.
