Farmer's land were taken by the landowners and British people who didnt payed them enough for their lands
They were to forced to grow only indigo and not other crops.
The british people earned a lot of profit selling indigo but gave only a small part to peasants
They payed very less tax for exportation but earned or charged a big amount of tax for import of indigo
