The first battle of tarain took place in 1191 CE. The battle was fought between Indian ruler prithviraj chauhan on one hand and Mohammed Ghori on the other hand.Prithviraj chauhan was defeated by Mohammed Ghori in first battle of tarain.
The second battle of tarain took place in year 1192 CE. prithviraj chauhan, the Rajput ruler of India was defeated by Mohammed Ghori in the battle.
