The word “pollution” indicates the presence on an unwanted foreign material into something. Hence, with reference to the earth, pollution means the contamination of our natural resources by different pollutants, produced mainly due to human activities. Today, pollution is the most significant issue that concerns the health of our environment.

Industries emanating toxic gases and insoluble waste, damage our natural resources of air, soil and water. There could be various examples of human induced pollutants, like – plastics, littering, radioactive contamination, soil contamination etc. Pollution must be dealt with immediately and globally as well. Natural resources, which we are losing due to pollution today, have been produced in millions of years and might take another Million to repair.

Explanation:

Biosphere is the surface that covers the earth along with all other ecosystems. It is made up of living beings and non-living factors. This biosphere where the habitats (both living and non-living beings) live are polluted due to various things that surround it.

Pollution is the unwanted material or the harmful material that creates variances in the biosphere. We have various pollution like air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution, toxic materials in the water and air. All these factors pollute the biosphere that makes living on this planet very miserable.

Besides these, we also have pollution from vehicles and industries emitting harmful gases into the atmosphere. If we want a cleaner place to live in, we must do away with all chemical-based products, growing trees for getting fresh oxygen and by setting up industries far from the residential places.

Going by the pollution, we can say there is a real threat to the biosphere. But if people follow an organic form of life for fulfilling their needs, then we can reduce pollution.
