Enzymes can lose their shape if they are placed in an environment that is hotter than normal. How does this help explain why a high fever can be so dangerous?

If the temperature rises, enzymes will deform and so the shape of the actice site also change. Any substance will no longer fit into the active site. Enzymes are proteins and proteins get denatured when there is high temperature.
