EPS standards for Earnings Per share....As the name suggests it is the Earning Per share... Earnings and NetProfit is interchangeable.. so It is calculated by dividing Net profit with the total no.of equity Shares..

EPS = NetProfit / no.of equity Shares

It is the amount/dividend recieved by the shareholder on his holdings/shares
