equality before law is a principal held dear all civilized societies. can the rich and the poor be really considered equal before law?

Thus, everyone must be treated equally under the law regardless of Race, gender, National origin, colour, ethnicity, religion, disability, or other characteristics, without privilege, discrimination or bases.

Yes they can be considered equal by giving them equal opportunities in all the platforms . But in reality it is not possible to give all the poor equal oppurtunities since all are not talented or has a will to do something.For this reason reservations are done in jobs and other field.
