The word "equality" may be defined as meaning "the same as," "equivalent," "matching," or "identical."
But In a human rights context, "equality" is used to mean that we are all the same in one fundamental way: regardless of our differences we all possess inherent worth.
ways to promote equality:
Equality cant be established merely by law [Equality of law]. We need to
1.treating all staff and students fairly.
2.
In addition to there is also a need to introduce special programmes or schemes to help disadvantaged groups.
3. Changing the mindset of the people by bringing awareness programmes.
4.There also need to bring additional change in attitude of society by inculcating the democratic values of intolerance and equal recognition.
5.People should be educated to give equal status to men and women . One way is promote girl child education  and allowing women to work independently without any restictions.
