Hello !!

We know that the elemental charge of a proton and an electron are the same, but with different signals.

Charge of a proton : +1.6 × 10^(-19)

Charge of a electron : -1.6 × 10^(-19)

And we have the number (n) of electrons a body gains or loses. So, we have this formulas.

Q = n × (-e) [When there is excess of electrons].

Q = n × (+e) [When there is absence of electrons].

I hope I have collaborated !
