Given :  Equation of   lines

To Find :  Equation of a line passing through origin

(a) x+y =1

(b) x=2y-4

(c) x+y=0

(d) y=x-1

Solution:

Equation of a line passing through origin

Origin ( 0 , 0)

Hence origin will satisfy the equation if line passes through origin

(a) x+y =1

0 + 0  = 1

=> 0 = 1

which is not true

(b) x=2y-4

0 = 2(0) - 4

=> 0 = -4

which is not true

(c) x+y=0

0 + 0 = 0

=> 0 = 0

TRUE

Hence  x+y=0 is Equation of a line passing through origin

(d) y=x-1

0 = 0 - 1

0 = -1

which is not true

Hence correct answer is x+y=0
