2x=5y+4

3x-2y+16=0

now,

2x-5y=4....................(1)*3

6x-15y=12.................(2)

3x-2y=-16..................(3)*2

6x-4y=-32..................(4)

now, Subtract equation number 2 from 4

6x-4y=-32

-(6x-15y=12)

-4y+15y=-32-12

11y=-44

y=-4

put the value of y in equation 2

6x-4*(-4)=32

6x+16=32

6x=32-16

6x=16

x=16/6

x=8/3

hence, the value of x=8/3 and y=-4
