Given equation : 10p - ( 3p - 4 ) = 4( p + 1 ) + 9

Step 1: Opening brackets.

⇒ 10p - 3p + 4 = 4p + 4 + 9

⇒ 7p + 4 = 4p + 13

Step 2: Adding - 4p on both sides

⇒ 7p - 4p + 4 = 4p - 4p + 13

⇒ 3p + 4 = 13

Step 3: Adding - 4 on both sides

⇒ 3p + 4 - 4 =13 - 4

⇒ 3p  = 9

⇒ p = 9 / 3

⇒ p = 3

Therefore the value of p satisfying the given equation is 3.
