 \dfrac{3x - 2}{y}  = 5 ----(1)

 \dfrac{x + 4}{y}  = 4 ----(2)

➝ 3x - 2 = 5y ------(3)

x + 4 = 4y ------(4)

➝ 3x - 5y = 2 -------(5)

x - 4y = -4 -------(6) × 3

3x - 12y = -12 -------(7)

Subtracting equation (7) from (5)

3x - 12y = -12 -------(7)

3x - 5y = 2 -------(5)

_ + -

_______________

- 7y = - 14

_______________

➝ y = -14/-7

y = 2

Put the value of y in equation (5)

3x - 5y = 2

➝ 3x - 5× 2 = 2

➝ 3x - 10 = 2

➝ 3x = 2 + 10

➝ 3x = 12

➝ x =  \cancel{\dfrac{12}{3}}

x = 4

\sf{\huge{\underline{\green{Verification :-}}}}

 \dfrac{3x - 2}{y}  = 5

 \dfrac{3\times 4 - 2}{2}  = 5

 \dfrac{12 - 2}{2}  = 5

 \cancel{\dfrac{10}{2}}  = 5

5 = 5
