Answer:

Given :

The circuit diagram is given in the image attached with the question.

To find :

The equivalent resistance of the circuit.

Solution :

Formulas to be used :

Series : R = R₁ + R₂

Parallel :

R₁ and R₂ are in series

∴ Rs₁ = R₁ + R₂

Rs₁ = 2 + 2

Rs₁ = 4Ω

Rs₁ and R₃ are in parallel

Rp₁ = 4/3Ω

Rp₁ and R₄ are in series

Rs₂ = Rp₁ + R₄

Rs₂ = 4/3 + 2

Rs₂ = (4 + 6)/3

Rs₂ = 10/3

Rs₂ and R₅ are in parallel

Req = 5/4Ω

Req = 1.25Ω

Therefore the equivalent resistance is 1.25Ω.
