(2) 11.2 L

Explanation:

Na_2CO_3+2HCl\rightarrow 2NaCl+H_2O+CO_2

Mass of carbon=12 g

Mass of Oxygen=16 g

Mass of CO_2=12+2(16)=12+32

Mass of CO_2=44 g

We know that

1 mole of Carbon dioxide=22.4 L

Mass of carbon dioxide=1 mole of carbon dioxide=22.4 L

Carbonate change into carbon dioxide by losing 2 electrons and 2 hydrogen ion change into H_2 by gaining 2 electrons.

Therefore, 2 electrons are involved in oxidation reduction

Therefore, the equivalent volume of carbon dioxide=\frac{22.4}{2}=11.2 L

Option (2) is true.
