Potassium sulphate = K2SO4 --> 2K^+ + SO4^2- molecular weight = 174.3 (2x39.1 + 32.1 + 4x16)
Equivalent weight = molecular weight/charge on cation or anion = 87.1 g

as we know,
atomic weight of
k = 39.1g , s= 32.1g, O = 16g

then,
Molecular weight = 2×(39.1) + (32.1) + 4x(16)
= 174.3 g / mole
hence,
equivalent weight
= (molecular weight) / (no.of cation or anion )
= 174.3/2
= 87.15 g

because, here,
(k2)^2+ & (So4)^2-
i.e. anion = 2 & cation = 2

I hope This Helps you....
