Given :-

Diagonal of the quadrilateral = 20 cm

Perpendicular to its diagonal from the other vertex, h₁ = 9 cm

Perpendicular to its diagonal from the other vertex, h₂ = 15 cm

To Find :-

The area of a quadrilateral.

Analysis :-

Substitute the given values in the formula of area of quadrilateral and then find the area accordingly.

Solution :-

We know that,

  • d = Diagonal
  • h = Height

By the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Area \ of \ quadrilateral=\dfrac{1}{2} \times (h_1+h_2) \times d}}

Given that,

h₁ = 9 cm

h₂ = 15 cm

d = 20 cm

Substituting their values,

= 1/2 × (15 + 9) × 20

= 1/2 × 24 × 20

= 240 cm³

Therefore, the area of the quadrilateral is 240 cm³.
