Solve numarical examples.
The masses of two bodies are measured
to be 15.7 + 0.2 kg and 27.3 + 0.3 kg.
What is the total mass of the two and the
error in it?
[Ans: 43 kg, +0.5 kg]​

Answer:

total mass = 15.7+0.2kg

...................=+27.3+0.3 kg

= 43 kg+0.5 kg

note :- error always add‼️

Answer:

Let 'A' and 'B' be the two bodies with masses m1 & m2 respectively.

Given :

mass of body A = m1 = (15.7 + 0.2)kg

mass of body B = m2 = (27.3 + 0.3)kg

Addition of masses A & B

= m1 + m2

= (15.7 + 27.3) + (0.2 + 0.3)

= (43.0) + (0.5)

= (43.0 + 0.5) kg

NOTE : Errors are always additive
