An ecosystem is a community of living things and their nonliving environment.

A food chain is a flowchart or sequence showing the energy flow in a community as one organism eats another.

1. Primary producers: These are the autotrophs and photosynthetic organisms such as plants which are capable of producing their own food.

2. Primary consumers: These are the herbivores, plant-eaters, that eat the primary producers.

3. Secondary consumers: These are the carnivores that eat the primary consumers.

4. Tertiary consumers: These are the carnivores that eat the secondary consumers and are called tertiary consumers. Example: eagle.

The living and non living things in the environment under the same community is called the ecosystem.ecosystem is because of food chain.

A food chain is the energy flow of organisms. When one organism eats the other for survival. For example carrot-rabbit-snake-eagle.

There are different categories in food chain named as follows:

Primary producers-carrot

Primary consumers-rabbit

Secondary consumers-snake

Tertiary consumers-eagle
