                 Relevance and worth of the aged mother

There is a famous saying about mothers by Rudyard Kipling: “God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.” Mother is relevant and worthy at all phases of life. No one can ever take her place and position. When she is young, she nurtures children with her life and blood. From dawn till late night, she is an epitome of self-less love, care, and devotion to her children and family.

She performs many roles in our life, which no one else can. v She is our wonderful counselor and psychotherapist too. She is so good at detecting our tensions, worries, and concerns. She cooks, washes, nurses, loves, protects, prays and keeps us safe. Only a mother can be a mother! Therefore, she is as great as God. Only a person who has lost his/her mother can tell us a mother’s relevance and worth.  

We must always treasure her love and care, and reciprocate to her love and care when she needs them in her old age.
