In my country, the summer vacations start around May or mid-May and end around the starting of June. The children who come from far get some rest because they don’t have to come to school for those few days and spend time with their family. Teachers don’t fail to assign some minimal homework so that the students don’t completely get detached from their studies. Kids are encouraged to go out and play in the evenings and read more books and watch cartoons with a little restriction. Teachers don’t fail to ask students to describe how they spent their holidays once they meet again after school reopens.
