Answer:

Everyone, at some point in their life, has made a mistake. Sometimes we get lucky and only falter a little, making it through the problem relatively intact. Other times, we mess up a lot and have to fix what was damaged over a long period of time. However, the same is true for most, if not all cases—those who make the mistake learn from it. Often times, our failures teach us valuable lessons that we only gained because of the experience we gathered after messing up. I have personally achieved a wealth of knowledge and experience just from all of my own little mishaps, and a few major ones.

Mistakes help us learn the existing theory of life between good and bad. Sometimes, a mistake may seem too good to approach, or it may be too dreadful to even think about in your wildest dreams. The theory above is exclusively mine, which I learned from a big mistake that was related to the field of education. This is the only time in life where we either fall under pressure, or rise above the mistake and learn what is best for us.

As I completed my sophomore year in biology, it was an apparent choice to become a doctor or some kind of health professional. Unfortunately, I failed miserably on my entrance exam and was kicked out of my major. I was told that I was never meant to wear a doctor’s white coat or handle a surgical knife. As a result, all my career choices came to a dead end.

How to Write Personal Essays for U.S. Universities

After six months, I tried my luck in getting a bachelor’s in business administration. Although I had some initial hiccups in the application process, I got through them and enrolled.

My first day of class was surreal and full of hope. As the days went by, the classes I was taking made me realize that I do not enjoy finance or anything related to math. I was afraid that I would flunk all of my classes and never make it to the end. I was apprehensive to tell this to my parents as it would tear them apart, but they knew what was going on. They asked how I was doing at the university and I told them how I was flunking classes, skipping exams, and other facts.

Finally, my parents told me not to constrain myself in doing something that doesn’t work and told me to instead find something I would love and enjoy doing for the rest of my life.

Thus, I was lead to the field of biotechnology, where everything went smoothly. It felt great to slide on the glasses to view microscopic microbes. Thus, this has become a genuine forte of mine, which made me finally realize that the study of deadly microscopic organisms could alter life’s patterns, and would even deteriorate people’s health.

So, I would like to end by saying that irrespective of how many mistakes you make or how many failures you endure, the success and happiness you gain through it is fantastic and better than anything.
