The organization of various World Class events and programs on the day of Ambedkar Jayanti is remarkable. Still, these are nothing compared to the countless efforts and voices raised by Dr. Ambedkar for Dalits through various meetings and writings in several periodicals such as Mook Nayak, Vahishkrit Bharat, and Equality Janta, etc.
Ambedkar Jayanti is a day which is dedicated to reiterate his words, views, and ideology put forth by him for the betterment of the Indian Society. He acquired degrees in political science, economics, and law with great difficulties and hardships, which groomed up his knowledge and skills to drive out the caste barrier prevailing in Society, acting as the hindrance to the all-round development of the country. He also earned doctorates in Economics from highly prestigious institutes like Columbia University and London School of Economics, which made him so much accomplished that is visible by his significant contributions in the establishment of the Constitution of India and ideas put forth for the formulation of the Reserve Bank of India. This day questions the leaders of our country how much we are adhering to the constitutional principle and how much we are successful in fulfilling his dream of an ideal society.
Every year, this day, as an annual festival starts with processions and large gatherings, this year, due to the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic, online Webinars and programs were held for the first time to pay tribute to this great leader. The existing scenario of organizing and connecting or sharing with people, the ideas and views of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, even in dreadful Pandemic situation, reflects that the coming generation is eager to welcome the changes and development in the Society without losing the legacy and ideology entangled with Ambedkar Jayanti.
