My Village is located in the State of Punjab bordering Pakistan. It is a very backward place but there are many possibilities for environmental conservation. For example, there is a lot of irrigated farm land, thousands and thousands of acres, but I can see how people with money are now buying land and turning them into 'housing' schemes.
This is not only destroying local fauna and faura but also destroying food sources. The best way to protect this environment is to lobby government into declaring these areas as 'national parks' or 'special conservation areas' where limited human activities are allowed
