'We are all now connected by the Internet’ – Stephen Hawking. What does the future hold for humankind?

Internet has been a wonderful blessing for mankind. It has bound it together with one common factor. Tell me an area or sphere where internet and computers are not being used! Education, industry, finance, defense, teaching, learning, research, medicine, accounting, entertainment, internet, online teaching, telecommunication, media, and space research and exploration. It is internet and computer everywhere.

The modern world will look void without internet and computers. Internet and computers have created such an order in every field. They are so adroitly efficient in data storing and handling. They have man's life much more organized, systematic, simple, colourful, and awesomely efficient.

If some new knowledge or information is discovered by someone in part of the world, it becomes available to all people through internet. People in all spheres are using internet to get the jobs done. From ticket booking to e-banking; from online shopping to e-learning; from working online to receiving emoluments for the work done online; from receiving your medical diagnosis reports to paying your income tax online, almost everything is being done using internet. The truth is all types of information and facilities are available through internet.

Internet has contributed to making life better. One can operate one’s gadgets and machines using internet. The CCTV cameras connected to your smartphone provide you minute to minute security report. One can switch off and switch on any gadget using gadget specific app. This connectivity through internet has made life awesomely convenient and controllable.

The future of this connectivity is very bright. With more technological advancement, this connectivity will improve. The things which we can’t do today using internet, it will be possible to do those things in future. Artificial Intelligence and internet connectivity will further take control of our life. We will have vehicles that will be run using internet connectivity with the actual pilot sitting in a room somewhere. The expert doctors will be able to operate on patients while sitting hundreds miles away. In future everything is going to be more virtual than real.

This connectivity will further expand to inter-planetary dimension. People living on earth will be connected to people living on Mars or moon. They will be able to operate and manage things from their respective places with ease. The doctors, scientists, teachers, etc will be able to guide people over long distances, but virtually. For example, experts from Mars will be able to guide people on earth and vice versa. Similarly, this connectivity will keep increasing in almost all walks of life.
