Tuition means studying a subject thoroughly. It can be broadly told as mastering a subject. Tuition is helpful till primary education where student find difficulty in any one or two subjects. 
But Coaching is study of all the subjects under one roof. This term was initially adopted for exams like UPSC, CAT, CDS etc where knowledge of everything on or off is required which is not possible to gather all alone.

Later with high competition at all levels starting with std one to score at max 100 %, tuition has been gradually replaced by Coaching

self study will give you the will power and you can study limitless
In coaching tuitions there is a limited time and further you are given as homework
In coaching tuitions all timetable is balanced but in self study you have to frame your own time table according to your way of study
