After a decade, I had the chance to go back to the school that I attended during my childhood. I used to be a student of this school for the whole of my younger academic life, from preparatory to class XII.
The school I used to attend was ABC School. Located in the next village next to mine, I used to walk all the way to school, usually taking me an hour or less. Now, going back to the same school brought back so many memories. The buildings that I had thought and marveled at for being so huge were no longer big to me. Going through the classrooms, the hallways, the grounds and the library brought back lots of memories. I can see myself running down the halls, laughing and at times quietly walking not to disturb the other ongoing classes. The campus also seemed a bit smaller to me, the space where I made lots of new friends, some I still hang out with and some who have left the physical world.
When the time to leave came, I was a bit reluctant to actually say my goodbyes again. Living in a big city, far away from the usual familiar spaces has made me miss more of the childhood places I used to be at. But as goodbyes are a part of life, I must part once again, but hoping to see this 'heaven' of mine again.
