THE INTER- SCHOOL WRITING COMPETITION

On 8th September, 2017, there happened to be an Inter- School writing competition. Students of different schools were about to join us. All of us were very excited. Added to this, was the pleasure of our upcoming Chief Guest, Shri Ramnath Kovind, the Hon'ble President of India. All the more, over 38 schools all over Uttar Pradesh were participating in it. This was not the only cause of my pleasure. I was very happy because among the 2 students, that were chosen to be a part of that special occasion. I was highly privileged to be among those brainliacs.

I was eagerly waiting for that day to come. This happened to be after a week. I got up early in the morning and was the first to reach the school gate. I boarded on the bus and we were directed to the Governor's house. I was overwhelming with joy. Finally we got off the bus and reached our destination. That was the most joyful moment of my life. We were all encountered to a big auditorium and our teachers were accompanying us to the stage. Finally, we received a seat and sat down comfortably.

We were welcomed by the Middle school girls by their magnificent dance performance based on the theme :- UNITY IN DIVERSITY. Following them was the stage show of ten different countries believing in one religion - THE RELIGION OF LOVE. It was a lovely day indeed! The students of different schools made me feel excited.

Finally, we were taken to our respective rooms where we had to sit on our respective seats. The sheets were provided and soon the bell rang. The topic was given to us and we had got 15 minutes to think about our essay. The topic was - THE INFLUENCE OF LITERATURE EXTRAVAGANZA.

I started writing. We had 3 hours in our hand. My hands shook. My heart started beating fast. Then, I got a sensational touch on my hand and a whisper in my ears, saying, "Go ahead! You can do it....." These words filled me with confidence and I started writing. I went on beautifying my essay with the essence of my splendid words and time flied away.

The time got over and our sheets were taken back. I was very happy after completion of my essay. I was eagerly waiting for getting our results. I was on the seventh sky when the president announced my name to be the first in the whole state. I ran up to the stage and got the prize. I even got the opportunity to shake hands with the Hon'ble President.

That was a pleasant day indeed!! That memory would forever be there in my heart.

Truly :-

MEMORIES ARE MADE TO CHERISH FOREVER.

Hope this helps!!!
