Success is sweet but its secret is sweat. Success depends on one's character. The beauty of personality is not charms of your physical appearance but the quality of your deeds. The emphasis of the adage, "Beautiful is what beautiful does" is not merey attractive looks but the noble qualities. In his famous poem 'Virtue,' George Herbert glorifies a virtuous character. A bright and beautiful day ends after dusk. A melodious song melts away in the thin air. A rose withers away and finally drops down in the dust. Even sweet season like spring has to come to an end. What lasts longer is a virtuous character. The relative permanance of noble soul is compared to be a 'seasoned limber' which symbolizes a durable thing.
