Explanation:

Ich liebe es, mir Fußballspiele anzusehen. Mein Lieblingsteam ist (put your favourite team in here).

In English I would say it like this:

I love to watch football/ soccer games. My favourite teams are ....Normally I watch the matches on tv but sometimes is my father taking me to the stadium as a special treat. I also save all my pocket money for tickets and for football memorabilia. I like to bring some friends home, too, so that we can watch the games together. Then we are always eating tons of popcorn and litres of lemonade that we make ourselves before the game starts. For my last birthday, my parents even allowed me to take some friends to the stadium with us. That was real fun and we ate hotdogs. I think we were the loudest group to cheer for our team. Sometimes I play football myself. But I don't want to be in a club because it would take away too much of my spare time. When we are visiting my aunt and my uncle in the holidays I always play football with my cousins. In the next summer holidays, I would like to try windsurfing when we go to California. I love the beach as well and the feeling of the wind and the sun on my skin so that I think that would be the perfect hobby for

∆ Over the years, some American games have become very popular in Germany. Basketball has a reasonably large number of fans. (Würzburg-born Dirk Nowitzki announced his retirement from the Dallas Mavericks in 2019, after playing 21 seasons with that team. He is the most famous of the ten Germans who have played in the NBA.) Ice hockey and volleyball are also quite popular in Germany.

∆ Although the Germans know about baseball and American football, neither of these New World sports is very popular or widespread in Germany or Europe. Although an annual American football exhibition game in Berlin was a longtime tradition, German youngsters still grow up playing soccer, not American football. First established in 1991 (as the World League of American Football), the NFL Europe finally closed down its five German football teams (and one in the Netherlands) in June 2007. Since then, American NFL teams have played exhibition games in London, England and Mexico City.
