Plants maintain the atmosphere. They produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis. Oxygen is essential for cellular respiration for all aerobic organisms. It also maintains the ozone layer that helps protect Earth's life from damaging UV radiation.
A plant is made up of many different parts.
The three main parts are: the roots, leaves, and stem. Each part has a set of jobs to do to keep the plant healthy. The roots absorbed water and minerals from the soil and anchor the plant to the ground. The stem support the plant above the ground, and carries the water and minerals to the leaves. The Leaves collect energy from the sun and make food for the plant, using an amazing process called photosynthesis

Plants are mainly multicellular, predominantly photosynthetic eukaryotes of the kingdom Plantae. Historically, plants were treated as one of two kingdoms including all living things that were not animals. .Green plants obtain most of their energy from sunlight via photosynthesis by primary chloroplasts. Some plants lost the ability to photosynthesize. Plants are characterized by sexual reproduction although asexual reproduction is also common

There are about 320,000 species of plants.Green plants provide a substantial proportion of the world's oxygen.Plants have many uses, as producing grain, fruit and vegetables also form basic human  food , ornaments, building materials, writing material and, in great variety, they have been the source of medicines and psychoactive drugs. The scientific study of plants is known as botany, a branch of biology
