There are numerous changes I would like to see in Indian society. Some of these are: 8People being more open about a Uniform Civil Code : This is one issue where the whole society is never on the same page and no one wants to bring a uniform civil code. This will have many benefits as everyone will have to follow same laws and every person would be equal. Apart from this it will end the "Us v/s Them" syndrome which many political parties exploit. Changing the "Chalta Hai" attitude : Indian people are really tolerant about fixing responsibilities.People don't really care about what is happening around their surroundings. And this is not only about rural areas but even in urban areas.E.g., Navi Mumbai has missed the first deadline of 2014 and the new deadline is extended to 2017 but how may people even question the government. Also we have to realise corruption is an evil that we have to get rid of. Women rights : This has been talked about a lot on social media. But I am particularly talking about women in rural areas who are poor and uneducated. They are married off as early as 16 years and have to work like a horse in their matrimonial home. Also they become pregnant at an early age and lose their health. These are the women that really require attention.Sensitisation towards environment : I have heard politicians speaking that they can't hinder development for environment. The reason the US had done so(or is still doing so). But who will tell them that US has only 1/4th of our population and 4 times the land. We have to do our bit with what little we have.
