It differs from man to man. What you think as good may be bad to some one. Doing good deeds is a thankless job. I tried to mobilise people not to bribe the clerks in the office, but people are of the opinion that giving bribe they can get their work faster.
But I do understand your opinion about good deeds. Yes, it is seen, it has happened with many people. But beconming famous is different thing. One can become famous by either way. Yet evil deeds are remembered not for long. Doers are also hated.
Good deeds, I feel, doing something for the country, mankind, community without any personal aspiration like pelf, fame, any return etc.
