Answer:

A journey I will never forget

Well it all started when my parent’s decided to have a lovely exciting holiday in Ireland. Well not exactly that was Just my view at that point in time. When they told me they had received a letter that my Dad’s Mum had had a terrible accident in a car crash and had passed away.

They had to go to her funeral there and would probably have to stay at least tow weeks it was along way to Ireland from the USA. I would have to go and stay with my grandma because the people that they would be staying with only had room for two people. My Dad of course was very upset about his mother dieing .But as for me well I couldn’t have cared less. I had never known my Dads side of the family because we had only visited them once in my whole life.

I was 12 now and I was probably around the age of 2 when we had travelled to Ireland so I don’t remember much about it. But I was very angry and disappointed that I would be spending tow horrible weeks on a dirty smelly old farm with a crazy oblivious out dated Grandma. While Mum and Dad went on a wonderful holiday to Ireland .I had no sympathy for my Dad who had lost his mother since I didn’t understand I had never lost a parent or any one else for that matter and I also never thought that perhaps these two weeks they were going to spend in Ireland were not going to be “wonderful lovely or exciting” as I thought but the very opposite.

I was sent the very next day to my Grandmas. She lived in Canada on an off shore Island so it was a long journey from Boston for all of us. I sat sulking silently in the back of the car while my Dad drove me to the airport. I had tried to reason with my Dad. To explain to him why I could not stay with my nutty Grandma in such a god forsaken place but he kept prattling on about how great it would be and how much fun I would have I just stared out the window and thought about how I could survive the next two long weeks. Drops began to fall on the outside of my window and also on my face. I wiped them off quickly I didn’t want my Dad to see me crying .The out side rain pounded on the roof of the car. I watched the drips trailing down my window. Sliding in to others that had already travelled there .The lids of my eyes got heavier and soon I drifted off to sleep .I hated them my grandma and my parents.

I was awoken by my Dad shaking me awake” come on we’re here time to get you on the plane”. I hopped out of the car and stood next to it waiting for him to lock up.”oh get rid of that miserable face your definitely going to enjoy it once you get there“ “Yeah right“ I said and started walking towards the airport .My Dad followed with my Luggage .I slept most of the plane journey as well and before I know it I felt the plane landing in Canada.

As I waited for my bags I began to feel more and more desperate. In my mid I planed complicated escapes. Then suddenly the night mare began. “oh Kill me “ I breathed I could see people looking .My Grandma had walked into the airport with welly boots and overalls drenched in mud leaving a trail of smelly muck behind . “Hi there Tommy my have you grown”. Why I nearly didn’t recognise you “. She held out her hand for me to shack .it was covered in muck too ………………..

Well there you go
