Nowadays, it is commonly accepted that recently people's style of living is more comfortable and they do not struggle with the problems which people faced into in the past. Contrary to this popular belief, there are still those who argue that today's life is not easier than our grandparents' life. I, to a great extent, agree with the first opinion that we live in more comfort rather than before. In the following paragraphs, I will explicate my reasons in details to buttress my position.
First and foremost, we all live in a modern society and we are utilizing of various technologies whereas our grandparents spent their childhood in the era without any special technologies. No one can deny this point that advent of technology brings more facilities that assist people with their daily activities. For instance, my mother has many different electronic instruments which help her to do her house works or my father uses his own personal laptops to do his job and many other examples like these. However, in the past there were no especial facilities to help them. They should wash their dishes or clothes by their hand. Also I remember that my grandmother told me her father was a boss of a bank and he used to do his accounting activities by documenting the data in the papers and by elementary calculation devices.
Other substantial reason that can be taken into consideration is that we can travel easily these days. People can leave their home town and travel to other places for many purposes such as finding better job opportunity, studying abroad in top ranked universities and even for entertainment and leisure. These aims can provide better more comfortable life for the people. Today there are many transportation vehicles for facilitate traveling. We see the streets are full of cars. Most of the people have their own personal car for going to their work place or traveling. Also people can travel from a continent to another through only a few days. Whereas in the old days traveling dedicated to wealthy people and it was really time consuming and expenses a lot. Relatively such long distance travels are impossible in many part of the world (especially in the under developing countries).
Finally yet importantly, nowadays we live in the global village, the predominant benefit of invention of the internet. The internet provides this chance for us to have contact easily with our relatives or friends who live far away by means of phones, emails and video conferences. On the contrast, in the past keeping in touch with the relatives and friends who live away was not easy at all. They should await for a while and maybe long time to receive or send their letters.
To recapitulate briefly, based on the aforementioned reasons, I can draw this conclusion that today we live easier than past. We benefits many facilities which cause the life more comfortable and easier than the past.
