We stopped off to have a walk down the main street and find a place to have a coffee, and very much enjoyed looking in the shops, which appear to have a relatively large portion of local businesses as.well as the national chains.
It is possible to park off the main street, walk down one side and return up the far side, making a special diversion through a quaint Victorian arcade.
We visited in May, but I would think that it gets far more busy, and frustrating, in
June to August, but for us it was a nice detour.
