Essay on a teacher is better than two books

I think both are required.  The interaction with teachers is very important, yet some teachers put their own spin on things.  Of course books (even textbooks) also sometimes put their own spin on things.  When it is done in books, it is more difficult to realize it is being done.  On the other hand, with books you have soooo many choices - you can read books that have a wide variety of views.  It is hard to easily find enough teachers, with a wide variety of views.
