A true hero need not be flying or throw laser light from its eyes, a hero just need to do what is right for the mankind and for its environment. A real hero is the one who set an example in front of everyone that a common man with strong determination can be a hero too. You need not to save the lives of millions but to teach them the lesson of unity and humanity is also heroism. For me Mother Teresa is true hero as she unifies the people in diverse society and makes many to smile and learn the meaning of true heroism.
Mother Teresa was an Albanian Roman Catholic religious sister and missionary. She founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, in 2012 consisted of over 4,500 sisters and was active in 133 countries. She arrived in India in 1929. She worked lot for the mankind and teach everyone that no religion or cast is higher than the humanity. She worked hard to make people smile especially the poor and the helpless. She takes care of everyone in need without being biased with his religion, gender, caste or status. She opened many orphanages for orphans and homeless youth. She worked lot for leprosy patients too. She opened AIDS hospices and charity centers worldwide and caring for refugees, the blind, disabled, aged, alcoholics, the poor and homeless, and victims of floods, epidemics, and famine.
Mother Teresa said “By blood, I am Albanian By citizenship, an Indian By faith, I am a Catholic nun. As to my calling, I belong to the world. As to my heart, I belong entirely to the Heart of Jesus.” This makes her the true hero in every sense. She died on 5 September 1997 but her heroism is still in the air and inspiring others too.
