Al Purdy 's listening to myself poem:
This poem is about being older and remembering is less stylish. Poet is listening to himself and seeing that when he was young he used to carry heavy wood blocks. He has become old and week. He is looking his body from every side and found that he has wrinkled everywhere. His hair became white. He is thinking that his body is saying to him that you have become old. He found himself as a foolish man because he thought that his voice should be speak love when he is listening something ridiculous. He is comparing loss of love from the still pool in the forest who only reflects his past. He is getting angry by remembering about all this things.
