It can expand into several forms, like love between a mother and a child, love between a young and an old, love between a dog and a human, and love between two humans etc. Love is an expansion and it continues to expand. It has no end, no beginning.
Selfishness is cruel, it is self-serving and a negative quality. Every living being is selfish. Selfishness, too, is an inherent instinct in a human being. It is a contraction that make one very lonely and egoistic.
Love is an affection towards any object, things or towards any living organisms. It is a very lovely feeling that every living beings have in their heart.
Love can be between a mother and child, or between human and birds, or between father and daughter, or between any two human beings.
Love is eternal and it has no end. So it is rightly said that love is a type of expansion.
