Electronic Devices Essay

Electronic Devices.... The Way of Life

Think back in time when there were no refrigerators, no cell phones and no automobiles. In these times it was very hard to keep food fresh for days and it was also hard to communicate with each other on the go. Another problem was that it was very difficult to travel across the country. With the birth of these electronic devices meant a much easier and comfortable life.

Back then when we didn't have refrigerators it was complicated to keep food cold. It is a known fact that they used large blocks of ice to chill their foods and it was known as an icebox. Today's fridges can keep foods chilled at the right temperatures and can even perform incredible feats. On the newer models you have an automatic ice cube maker and a water dispenser. One crazy addition is that the creators at LG Electronics developed a refrigerator with a built in LCD screen which can be used for surfing the web and watching TV. Imagine grabbing a late midnight snack and checking your email. That is one cool refrigerator.

In the past we had limited ways to communicate. Its either we made a phone call on the house phone before we left or we would have to stop at a pay phone. Both of these options restricted us but today's technology has brought us the invention of the "cellular phone." Now with the cell phone we could now make phone calls at any specified time, especially in emergency situations. These devices are conveniently made to fit in our pockets and purses so we can access them easily. The cell phone has made our lives so much simpler.

Imagine riding in a crowded carriage bouncing up and down on the bumps of the road. That is how we used to get around places. Traveling to the next city and across to other states in the past was often time consuming and tiring.
