Answer:

Art is an essential part of life that has many definitions, characteristics and features but each person has their own meaning of it. In my opinion art is a figurative representation of reality, whereas its main purpose is the communion of a man to the beautiful, sensual and sometimes even to the inexplicable and contradictory. I think that movies, paintings, architectures and other arts should cause a variety of emotions, feelings and thoughts in the souls and minds of people. The fantasy painting “Catching Wishes” by Josephine Wall is of a woman having many desires but only reaching out to the one she wishes to have the most. This beautiful painting makes me feel happy and sad simultaneously. It makes me happy because she chooses to have a family over else and sad because she appears to be alone and desperate for hope. Art plays a huge role in my life because it makes me think about important issues, things happening around me and does not leave me indifferent. I enjoy reading because books teach us many valuable lessons and make us more educated. Classical literature builds character, instilling moral traits. Reading the works of classics enrich my inner world and give the concept of values such as honor and dignity

Answer:

Art dates back centuries ago, where caveman communicated via rock paintings. Art exists in different forms, cultures, countries and every community. Hence, I’m going to highlight 5 reasons why it is so essential to human life.

Art – Makes you Think

When you look at paintings, your brain starts working overtime and pondering what is the artist trying to say through their artwork. The colors, brushstrokes, texture; each tell a story. Also, art is subjective – everyone perceives it as per their understanding and the beauty is no one is ever wrong with their views.

Art – Transcends your Imagination

It makes you time travel to other locations, without you ever leaving that spot. For example, if you see a medieval times painting – looking at their clothing, expressions and environment; makes you feel you’re right there with them.

Art – Universal Language

Art is a visual language, which helps comprehend the message much faster than words; also makes a lasting impact. Whether the artwork originates from India, England, or America; you don’t need to know their dialect to understand what they’re saying; because visually it speaks the same universal language.

Art – Beyond a Thousand Words

Art fills the gap where words fail to do justice to the body language, emotions, and textures. The most famous painting of Mona Lisa, no matter how much ever you read about it – the true essence will only be felt once you see it with your own eyes. Art tells stories within minutes or sometime even seconds!

Art – Gives Free Wine

Most important for human life, art gives free flowing wine. Going to galleries and looking at paintings, while savouring delicious food and wine is not a bad thing at all. Sometimes, I feel the wine draws out more sentiments from me versus the painting (but this secret is only between you & I).

Art makes a huge impact in our lives, and we don’t even realise it. It adds color, tune, flavour… Earth with art is just eh!
